We're looking for a website thumbnail API to integrate into our code for the purpose of taking snapshots of our website at certain times. We are willing to pay for the "Gold" subscription (19.99€), but we want to make sure it's going to work like we need it to BEFORE we start paying for it.
After registering for the Free API Key, the first request I tried was:
http://api.thumbalizr.com/?api_key=[mykey]&width=300&url=http://www.bondware.com
I immediately got "Picture Queued" thumbnail. This is all well and good for the free service. However, if we get the paid service (more specifically, the Gold subscription), the image will show up immediately, right? In other words, I won't get an intermediate "Picture Queued" thumbnail and instead the connection will wait until it has a thumbnail to respond with.
Is this how it will work? If we're going to get the intermediate "Picture Queued" thumbnail even when we're paying for it, then it's not something we can use.
Thanks,
Nick Williams
